About Us

Trident Booksellers and Café, Ltd. has been doing business in Halifax since 1992. We were first located at 1570 Argyle Street and occupied that location for eight years. In the spring of 2000, we moved to our current location--1256 Hollis Street, near the Westin Hotel, Pier 21 and the Via Rail station.

We now offer complimentary wi-fi access for laptop users.

The Trident is a coffeehouse, tea room, specialty coffee roaster, and used bookstore. Here you will find clean and interesting used and remaindered books, high quality specialty coffee drinks and pasteries, and in the back room, freshly-roasted, Fair Trade Organic coffee beans and a good selection of premium loose black, green and herbal teas.
